Over-Prioritization of Sports
Sports teaches you toughness, determination, critical thinking, communication, and so much more,
but when school is involved, all of a sudden, sports is shifted into a different gear.
School is a place of education, and education is one of the main foundational building blocks of life. Education is where you grow and nurture your mind, your thinking, your psychology, your philosophy, etc.
I don't like how these sports fans, even certain selections of casual fans, look towards these athletes as if they are gods or goddesses.
Athletes are trained to analyze and function their bodies and mindsets into achieving a desired goal based upon circumstances. A football player is trained to get the football and run to the opposition’s end zone. What is so special about that? What makes that more amusing than people who are actually trying to make a difference in people's lives?
Half, if not more, of these athletes only care about the money, in which you fans keep pouring in. If these athletes were not making so much money analyzing and functioning a desired goal, they would quit. So why do these fans care so much about people who do not care for their existence?
What makes a basketball player, any basketball player, more inspirational and meaningful than plumbers, construction workers, crane operators, teachers, counselors, accountants, doctors, neurologists, dentists, etc…?
Look at these events. Do you want to go to a game where you will encounter many people who do not know how to act? More and more, these sporting events are becoming block parties. So you paid a ticket for a sporting event to not even watch the sport? It's becoming a cesspool for gangsters, rapists, psychopaths, sociopaths, homeless-dressing individuals, females being strippers and wanting attention (even though nobody comes to see them), drunk idiots, etc… And many individuals think this is acceptable? I understand team spirit, but when is too far enough for these fans?
Why do these people enjoy such unpredictable atmospheres? Are these events worth you being trampled and/or having ear damage?
These are the same fans that think that these athletes are worth all this attention, money, crying, yelling, fighting. What makes them so special? What makes them more important than these people who have master's degrees and doctoral degrees, working essential jobs?
Do you think a basketball/football/baseball/soccer (futbol) player is essential to society? Do fans really need to be entertained to the point where players risk their lives? Movies are not entertaining enough? Can't find anything interesting on TV?
These are the type of people where nothing is ever good enough for them. They let their emotions override their cognitive abilities.
Sports is a great activity, but it should not be put on this pedestal as if it is the only thing that matters and is appreciated in society. What makes athletes more important than chefs, retail workers, stockers, harbor workers, electricians, etc…?
I understand that players give back to the community, which is great, but I am specifically referring to the fans. By the way, I do not understand why ANY parent would prioritize sports over education for their child/children. I guess those parents are willing to sell their kid to any collegiate athletic director and professional sports owner for their child/children to be enslaved and kiss up to them and dance and perform for them, as long as they get some money at some point.
A parent is supposed to raise their child/children to be the best person they could be, NOT be a tool in a system of systems for blood, sweat, and tears for a percentage that will ALWAY will be less than what they are giving in effort and/or what they have earned through their years of knowledge and hard work.
Sports is not sports anymore, it is just another cesspool of capitalism and democracy, encouraging men to be fools and idiots and women to be sexualized and tools of encouragement for toxicity.
