Fixing Burger King

Small Fries - Burger King What is "Burger King"? Burger King is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain, known primarily for its hamburgers. Burger King specializes in flame-broiled hamburgers, with their signature item being the "Whopper." This flame-broiling technique is a key distinguishing factor for their burgers. It's a multinational chain with thousands of locations worldwide, spanning across numerous countries. Burger King is known for their focus on customizable orders, allowing customers to personalize their meals. Once upon a time, Burger King was just as popular as McDonald's. According to Mashed , in their article Fast Food Fries Ranked From Worst To Best, According To Customers , published November 2024, Burger King has the third best fries in the United States, behind Del Taco (2) and McDonald's (1). Gemini has a different opinion, saying that Burger King's fries are generally reviewed by customers as decent with mixed opinion...

Customer Psychology: Fast Food Restaurants

Image
I don't know if I should title this Customer Psychology  or Fast Food Common Sense , but I guess it is a matter of preference. The point of fast food is to be cooked and eaten fast. Disclaimer:  I make these points in assumption that the customer is not waiting in line and the food they ordered is correct and approved by them. Of course, this will be addressed later in this post.  Does it make sense for a customer to order fast food, wait until they get home, and then start eating? Should it be right for that customer to be upset if their food is cold if they waited until they get home to start eating? At that point, does the term "fast food" becomes "wait-until-you-get-home-to-eat food"? What about choosing Dine-In, Carry-Out, or Drive Thru? If you desire food quickly, and the Drive-Thru is empty, why would you choose to order Carry-Out? Doesn't that destroy the purpose of constructing a fast food restaurant? Drive-Thru(s) are constructed to provide custome...

Hygienical Concerns

Why do a certain number of people do NOT wash their hands? Do those people think that it is disgusting? If you do perform a public survey and ask people "How often do you wash your hands after using the restroom?", how many of those people will tell the truth? If I have questions as to whether or not you washed your hands, do you think I will have questions as to whether or not your brushed your teeth and took a shower? If people know a particular person does NOT wash their hands, and/or brushed their teeth, and/or took a shower, who would STILL be around that person? Why? Do you think someone NOT washing their hands is a reflection of who they are and/or how they treat themselves? Personally, I am concerned because I go to the store and can smell weed-smokers two aisles away from me; I saw guys walk out the bathroom without washing their hands (nor use hand sanitizer). I mean, my goodness, don't these people care about themselves? Yet, these are the same people that wa...

The Rise of Subjectivity and Decline of Objectivity

Observing the wide range of media and the audiences they are attracting, I see a trend towards media with personalities and (in some cases) entertainment. Why is that? What made the audience prefer non-objective news, where journalism walks on an imaginary tightrope between journalism and creative writing. The objective for journalism is attribution and avoid personal opinions and biases. How can you call shows such as ESPN's First Take and Get Up! or Fox Sports' Undisputed  and First Thing's First  "journalism" when the objectives for shows like that are NOT focused on avoiding personal opinions and biases? Why did I bring those shows up when they are debate shows unlike more informative shows like SportsCenter or Fox Sports Live [last aired February 23, 2017]? It is because the debate shows (or, at least, the majority of them) have high viewership, propelling athletes and many citizens/viewers starting podcasts and having some sort of online presence whether it...

Idolization of Athletes

Athletes are the backbone of sports. They are the reason why there is media coverage and news around them. Not many people get to be like them; not many people aspire to be like them. Athletes and celebrities are people too, and they do not need to have people in their spaces everywhere they go. They need time for themselves like everyone else, and I do not blame them for not signing autographs. Some of them complain about why people are in their business when the athletes and celebrities themselves are the ones putting their business out on the internet, acting like everyone will act morally and ethically. I do have a problem with kids idolizing these athletes. Notice I did not say adults because you cannot convince them, especially teenagers; they will never listen, which is a MUCH, MUCH bigger issue than worrying about a basketball, football, baseball, and hockey game. Grown adults out here prioritizing sports over actual things that matter such as crime, tsunamis, snowstorms, etc. ...

Media Practice

I bought this digital camera on Temu because I am a student just starting up, so I chose something cheap and affordable. So far, I have taken some pictures and some videos and it does work well. With the right amount of lighting, this can be useable in some demo reels or timelines. For now, I just took some photos. I did order a shotgun microphone, but it has not arrived yet currently, so when it arrives, I will shoot some videos and see how it goes. These are one of the products on my media production shopping list, so I will keep you updated! For now, here are a couple of shots I took... and then I will show you the same shots, but I edited and tweaked it to make it more presentable. Below are the edited shots:

NEVER Go to a Nike Store!

Image
Nike Factory Store - Jersey Gardens - Elizabeth, NJ Nike is a billion dollar shoe business, the most popular in its industry with the most universally recognizable logo. They offer a wide range of shoe colors with adjustables and high tech comfort as well as custom Nikes too. It has inspired many to air brush their own pair of white Nikes and build careers off of that  As someone who wore many pairs of Nikes over the years, I do not understand what is so special about a company that mainly sells shoes.  Shoes are made to be worn to protect your feet from the hard surface of grass and concrete and etc... Is Nike basically capitalizing off of the insecurities of its consumers? We know they buy materials from factories in poor countries, outsourcing jobs, child labor, and continuing the economic disasters in these countries for many many families. What makes a pair of shoes so special? Don't we wear shoes just to protect our feet? Are these shoe companies pushing consumers to be ...
